Less time on admin. More time for your charity.

Practical support for small charities with too much to do and too few hands. Supporting charities across England and Wales, with a particular focus on South West England.

About Bob

I’m Bob Snarey, an experienced fundraiser and systems specialist. I’ve worked with mental health, environmental, children’s and cancer charities, written annual reports and managed major security incidents. I’ve also been invited to speak to charities at Google’s headquarters. I bring practical experience of charity work, funding and handling sensitive information.

How I can help

When a small team is stretched, reporting and fundraising can become hard to keep on top of. I can do the work for you, build systems your team can use, or combine both. Start with the task that is taking up too much time.

01.

Trustee and annual reports

Bring together your activities, achievements and evidence of impact into clear trustee reports and annual reports. I can help prepare the report or organise a repeatable process for your team.

02.

Finding suitable grants

Find prospective grants and assess how well they match your services, priorities and capacity. Focus your effort on opportunities worth investigating, with clear reasons for each assessment.

03.

Applications and funder reports

Turn your plans and evidence into clear grant applications, then report back on the work funded. I can help with research, drafting and reporting, keeping your charity’s voice and checking the facts.

04.

Live funding boards

See prospects, applications and results in one live board. As your team updates it, trustees and finance teams can see the current funding position without waiting for the next report.

05.

Systems that save time

Make policies, reports and working documents easier to find and reduce repetitive administration. Build a practical system around the way your charity works, with clear guidance for the people using it.

06.

Start with what you need

Bring one task, a recurring problem or a backlog. We’ll agree the support you need: work done for you, a system your team can run, or both. You don’t need technical knowledge or a project plan to begin.

Smarter Grant Writing with AI

My practical guide for small charities using AI in grant writing. Learn how to save time and improve your drafting while keeping your charity’s voice and checking the substance of every application.

01.

For small charities

A practical starting point for teams working with limited time and resources.

02.

Keep your voice

Use AI to support your writing while retaining your charity’s language, purpose and perspective.

03.

Check the evidence

Treat AI drafts as a starting point. Check facts, funder requirements and the claims you make.

Helping Dorset Mind find suitable funding

For Dorset Mind, I created “Dorset Mind Memory”, a system drawing on current information about the charity’s services and policies. It compares prospective grants with what the charity can deliver, gives each a red, amber or green assessment and explains why.The system supports an ongoing flow of funding leads and creates draft applications for review and approval. AI helps with the research and drafting; people assess the recommendations, check the facts and make the decisions.
